2017 C4C Exhibition, "Our Home is Your Home"

The photographs in "Our Home is Your Home" were taken on the summer solstice (June 21, 2017) at White Earth Tribal and Community College by the 2017 Plains Art Buzz Lab interns. The interns worked with photographer Joe Allen, who taught them about photographing nature with macro lenses, enabling the photographers to take a "bee's eye view" while looking at plants and habitats. Some of the insects featured in the photographs are honeybees, bumble bees, and sweat bees. The plants include milkweed, oxeye daisy, and purple clover. Buzz Lab interns invite you to consider, through a bee's eye view, this native prairie home we all share.
